Meet our activators: Nikola E77AX

My name is Nikola, I am a member of HGSS Čapljina (SAR Team Leader), landscape photographer, mountaineer, radio amateur. My call sign is E77AX my QTH is Čapljina.
I am 34 years old and I have been a radio amateur since I was 28. I am a member of ZR HB. I have participated in many top amateur radio events and contests with quite good results.
*Something about POTA…*
In my radio amateur work I met POTA, it was "love" at first Hi. I combined being in nature and working on shortwave. Somehow at the same time as my beginnings in POTA I noticed shortcomings in the database and references. In agreement with Filip YU3FMS I decided to apply as a POTA manager for E7 and to take on serious work with registration and data entry in the POTA system. Later I met the rest of the POTA organization in the USA and we got down to business. The job was not easy, but the results were immediately visible after half a year. I even made changes to the POTA website platform.
*Something about E7POTA…*
I believe that the crowning moment of all these activities was the moment when a group of radio amateurs was created and we launched the special call sign E7POTA. The sign was also the first special in a country directly related to POTA. Here we are entering the second anniversary of our work and we also have a plan to permanently work on the E7POTA sign.
*Favorite setup for activation…*
My favorite setup is iCOM 7300 and the vertical antenna DX HF 1 Pro, a handmade open dipole for the 20m band. My favorite band is 20m, and the most interesting activation for me was the old town of Herceg Stjepan in Ljubuški. There was a strong wind, on an elevated place and I could hardly wait to finish with any results. Because it was very cold. Battery power 12 V, and the logger app is HAM 2K.
Big greetings to everyone. 73 44
